
VISITING PROFESSORS
From September to December 2023 the Jean Monnet Centre of excellence EU4GH hosted Prof. Titti Mattsson, Professor of Health Law and Director of the Health Law Research Centre (one of the EU4GH Centre’s official partners) at the Law Faculty of the University of Lund (Sweden). Prof. Mattsson lectured on topics of European Health Law in the framework of the EUGHL Course. Her module on “European Health Law: Legal and Ethical Perspectives” (fully taught in English) was especially tailored for the Erasmus students in mobility at the UNISA School of Law.

From 17 May to 17 June 2024, the Centre hosted Prof. Gabriela Oanta, Associate Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the Faculty of Law of the University of La Coruña (Spain), Director of the Instituto Universitario de Estudios Europeos “Salvador de Madariaga” (formerly Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and one of the EU4GH Centre’s official partners), former Jean Monnet Chair in "EU Law of the Sea" and currently Jean Monnet Chair in “EU and the Law of Oceans: New Legal-Maritime Scenarios” (EUOLMS). Prof. Oanta’s research activity focused on the topic “The European Union as a privileged actor in a fragmented global health landscape”. She also gave a lecture at the Jean Monnet EU4GH Summer School on "The Legal and Institutional Framework for EU-WHO Relationships".
From 2 to 30 June 2024, the Centre hosted Prof. Maria Isabel Torres Cazorla, Associate Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at the Faculty of Law of the University of Malaga (Spain) and Principal Investigator of the Research Project MESESA “Medio ambiente, seguridad y salud: nuevos retos del derecho en el siglo XXI”, funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. Prof. Torres Cazorla’s research activity focused on the topic “EU goals on environment and health for the near future”. She also gave a lecture at the Jean Monnet EU4GH Summer School on "Environment and Health in EU Law: Bathing Water Quality as a Test Case".
